The four friends from Melbourne Australia have seen a meteoric rise in popularity in the past 12 months, amassing a legion of fans all around the world with their timeless soulful recordings and stunning live shows. The band have released 2 critically acclaimed studio albums, with the second receiving 3 ARIA awards and a Grammy nomination. Their live album, ‘Live at The Forum’ released in 2020 reached the number one album position on the Australian charts.

Onstage The Teskey Brothers pull out all stops, conjuring a rare soulful energy and raw emotion. They’ve been crowd favourites at Bonnaroo, Fuji Rock, North Sea Jazz, Firefly, Bottlerock, Latitude and many others, not to mention selling out pretty much all of their own shows in Australia and internationally.

XAVIER RUDD

Xavier Rudd’s relentless upward arc is among the most astounding success stories of our time. Over 20 years of touring has seen his global fan base swell to perform sell-out concerts in Japan, throughout Europe, Canada, the USA, including his infamous sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2018.

Countless more celebrated acts have come and gone like fireworks as his campfire steadily grows: a beacon to the kind of music fan that seeks sustenance in a fast-food world. "I value the simple things in life," he shrugs.

"I value community, culture, our connection to the earth as human beings. I don't care too much for the other stuff. I think the roots of who we are, and what our ancestral lines are and how those stories have shaped us are the most important things. And I guess I always celebrate those things in my music."

KASEY CHAMBERS

There’s a moment in most artists’ young lives when they realise music will shape their future and define who they are. Kasey Chambers didn’t have to wait for that moment to arrive. Music is part of her DNA.

The Captain (1999) remains one of the most extraordinary and lauded debuts by an Australian artist in any genre. Songs such as the title track, ‘Cry Like a Baby’ and ‘These Pines’ boast a maturity beyond her years and a wealth of Americana-styled musical influences, yet the album has Australia and family at its core, ingredients that have been a staple of Kasey’s song-writing ever since then. The critics and the public saw The Captain for what it was, a blast of fresh air in the local country scene. Kasey was on her way and picked up her first ARIA Awards, for best country album and best female artist.

Greater success was to follow. Barricades & Brickwalls (2001), Kasey’s second album, broke more ground, winning best album at the 2002 ARIAs and landing her at the top of the pop charts in Australia and the third album, Wayward Angel (2004) was another monster success, going straight to No.1 in Australia and producing a string of singles. Kasey’s fourth album, Carnival, debuted at No.1 in August 2006. In 2005 Kasey married fellow musician and songwriter Shane Nicholson and this partnership would form the basis of her next success with their debut as a duo, Rattlin’ Bones (2008), another No.1 debut on the album charts and it won best country album at the ARIAs in 2008. In 2009 family was once again a big influence on Kasey’s music with the following albums Kasey Chambers, Poppa Bill and the Little Hillbillies that won best independent country album at the AIR Awards in 2010, her fifth solo album Little Bird released in September 2010 that peaked at No.3, and a time for reflection captured in her album Storybook.

HOLY HOLY

With their three full-length albums to date, the duo have built a loyal and dedicated fanbase with over 100 million streams across their body of work and multiple gold and platinum singles hanging on their walls. If that wasn't enough, there are nominations for ARIA Awards, J Awards and National Live Music Awards to take note of, all maintained through their fanatically attended live shows and unique songwriting.

Recorded in a series of modest studios and spare rooms in Tasmania and Victoria, Holy Holy’s fourth album, Hello My Beautiful World is perhaps their most fully realised. Built upon a foundation of electronic beats and rolling synths, the record combines lush string arrangements, May-esque guitar riffs and chanted vocals to produce a heady and persuasive mix. The record moves fluidly through a collection of feverish moods and atmospheres, unfolding unpredictably and building to a series of fierce and manic highs. It’s a dense and ambitious record suited to close and repeated listening. .

TIMBERWOLF

Oozing with talent, Timberwolf is an artist who’s been able to side-step from writing within the constraints of a genre. Since emerging in 2015 with his debut EP Flux, Timberwolf has pushed boundaries with his authentic songwriting, musicality and crafty compositions. Having played to sold-out crowds across the country at Groovin The Moo, WOMADelaide, Big Pineapple, BIGSOUND and Woodford Folk Festival.

Having previously taken out Best Songwriter, Best Male Artist and Experimental Music awards at South Australian Music Awards, Timberwolf has cemented his status one of Australia’s brightest and most engaging artists. Now back with a string of mesmerising shows paired with a thought-provoking and raw piece set to stop you in your tracks, Timberwolf is bound for another exceptional year ahead.

TULLIAH

At 19 years old, Tulliah, from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, simply writes from a place of heart felt experiences with melodies that seamlessly wash over you. One of those songs – ‘Company’, a piano-backed pop song written about toxic crushes and unreciprocated feelings – gave Tulliah the tag of an ‘act of Australia’s future’, placed upon her after becoming a finalist in 2019’s triple j Unearthed High competition. Off the back of that one single (and after finishing her exams), Tulliah blossomed. She signed to touring agency Select Music and supported acts like Amy Shark and GRAACE on tours, played Melbourne festival shows with Ball Park Music and Thelma Plum, and saw the world desperately ask for what’s next – something she was quietly working on, while still honing in on her skills and solidifying her craft.

Now, with a debut EP titled ‘Fre$h Hugs’ released March 2021, we’re able to go a little deeper into the musical mind of Tulliah and the potent bursts of indie-pop that come from one of Australia’s most exciting new names. The EP is a dizzying six tracks that simultaneously capture Tulliah’s brilliance in pop music as well as the heartfelt stories and emotions that give them their soothing edge; balancing intimacy and richness through swirling and incredibly powerful pop music. Dean Tuza (Stella Donnelly, The Rubens) sat in the production hot seat across the entirety of the EP, working closely with Tulliah to finesse each track. In addition, Grammy-winning producer David Kahne (Lana Del Ray, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks) produced string arrangements that feature on the EP.
