SummerSalt respects the gorgeous summer locations we operate in, and include green initiatives to minimise our impact to these locations and beyond.
As a part of our environmental initiatives, we’re including a Green Ticket option (available during checkout) to offset emissions created by this event, with proceeds going to the Australian Carbon Farming Projects – to support Australian farmers adopting sustainable farming strategies. These projects cover 4.5 million hectares and reduce emissions by approximately 50 million tonnes per year.
SummerSalt vendors will also follow our green protocol – we have aligned ourselves with socially & environmentally conscious vendors, who are required to provide recycled & biodegradable materials for serving in place of plastics.
Our artists and SummerSalt Lounge guests will be kept hydrated throughout the day with water from Carton & Co – filtered water made with BPA-free, recyclable carton packaging made from renewable & biodegradable resources.
SummerSalt at 3 Oceans Winery feature attendance from Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, providing awareness & information about their campaigns from their market stall, and selling merchandise to support their causes.
We suggest that all attendees, including vendors also minimise their own impact – steps including taking public transport, avoiding bringing plastic in to the festival, disposing of waste responsibly, and other small things you can do to reduce harm to the environment.
